For as long as I can remember, I have dreamt in vivid colors, yet I experience my real world first and foremost with my ears. Years before I knew that I was destined to a life as an artist, I was an at-home hobby hummer, a literal songbird who spoke in song. I was always drawn to expressing my emotions in the form of improvised melodies, harmonizing with my friends, writing my own lyrics & poetry, or sketching my feelings out onto paper.

I began dancing at the age of 3 and joined the Berliner Kinderchor at 5 years old. This introduced me to the finest classical music at a very young age. The first time hearing a new piece of music was always a very important and visceral experience for me.

Music came to represent a type of timeline for my life. The nostalgia that can come along with any one melody or exquisite orchestration can at times take me completely by surprise. It is this hold that music has over me that fascinates me so deeply.

My name is Stephanie Lorenz. I was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and I have resided in the United States since moving to Florida at the age of 6 with my family.
